The Vent Men

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and The Vent Men, a Calgary-based furnace and duct cleaning business. By using this website or booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.

What we provide

We provide residential furnace, duct, dryer vent, HRV, humidifier, and central vacuum cleaning services in Calgary and surrounding communities. The exact scope of each service is described in our package pages and confirmed in writing before we begin work.

Quotes and pricing

Our quotes are flat-rate based on your home type and the package you select. The price shown in our online quote builder is the price you pay, subject to Alberta GST. We do not bill per vent, per hour, or on a sliding scale.

Add-ons and optional services are priced separately and shown clearly in the quote builder. If we discover something on site that changes the scope — for example, a duct system that is not what the customer described — we will stop, explain, and ask before continuing. We do not perform unauthorized work.

Scheduling and cancellation

When you book a service, we hold time in our schedule for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the slot to another customer. Missed appointments without notice may be subject to a fee at our discretion.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is complete unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept credit card, e-transfer, and cheque.

Our service guarantee

We stand behind our work. If something is not right after we leave, call us and we will make it right. Our guarantee does not cover pre-existing conditions of your home, equipment failures unrelated to our work, or damage caused by misuse after we leave.

Limitation of liability

We are insured and take care in your home. Our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Alberta consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
